The specialty department of Implantology started in the year 2011 and more than 100 dentists from various parts of the country as well as international doctors have successfully trained in implant dentistry. The department has multiple implant systems to train the participant doctors. The Implant Center offers one year Fellowship programme comprised of 5 modules in Implant Dentistry. The one-year Fellowship is an advanced graduate level program in both restorative and surgical implant dentistry. The implant centre is affiliated to International Congress of Oral Implantologists (U.S.A). The participants will complete implant surgeries on simple cases as well as advanced cases. In the restorative area both simple and complex cases will be treated. The candidate is expected to master the techniques needed for treatment planning, placing implants in straight forward cases. The participants are given demonstration on advanced implant prosthetics and advanced surgical techniques in implantology. The centre also trains postgraduates from the department of Prosthodontics, Periodontics and Oral Surgery. The department also caters the patients who cannot afford expensive treatments in private hospital sectors.
