Introduction

The department is situated independently on the 3rd floor of the building in a calm atmosphere. It is divided into Under Graduate Section and Postgraduate Section. (Dry and wet labs, store room and PG study room, record maintenance room which is computerized are attached to the Postgraduate Section). The state of art facility is provided by the department for both undergraduate & postgraduate training

Undergraduate section

A B.D.S. Student is initially introduced to the Basics of Orthodontics by means of Lectures, seminars, and discussions from the 3rd year onwards. We have subsequently two batches, the 3rd year and Final year batches. A Final year student gets well acquainted with the diagnosis and treatment planning which is the prime requisite to prepare them towards their success in clinical practice.

There are 25 dental chairs out of which five are executive chairs well equipped with ultrasonic scaler, light cure and six way syringe unit to help and enhance the quality of work by our postgraduates who work and use these chairs to their utmost. Each postgraduate is provided a personal unit section which compromises of a working table with Alkon modular system for keeping their instruments, case files, and models.

For sterilization of instruments an autoclave and a hot air oven provided in the Clinic

The reception is provided with a computer with software. which is used to show various orthodontic treatment procedures live in action on the computer to further enhance and win the confidence of the patients. Without which we cannot reach the horizon of the treatment, which savs "For the people By the people."
